Lack of Surf Reports: I don't have a boat and driving has proven futile. If you didn't get Jack Johnson/Ben Harper tickets in the few minutes it took to sell out two shows at the bowl, you can join me with a lawnchair up on APS in August. A big crane fell over the I-5 today making many a horrible San Diego commute and apparently shutting down power to Scripps, which may have been why the CDIP swell model was down all day, as well as the Scripps Pier Camera. A paraphrased PSA from an SBS reader: 'If you are the type of person who launches a boat from a hoist somewhere along the california coast, and this hoist is broken for some amount of time, and you are forced to launch your ship from the beach, please use "Beach Launch Wheels" instead of driving your big trailer onto the beach and destroying life and limb, or the people who make rules for that beach may ban beach launchings altogether, running it for everybody.'
