New Report from a Tropical Saturday.
My hyping up of tropical events backfired again. Felicia was downgraded to Tropical Depression on Saturday. However, there is something else down there that has begun brewing so keep and eye out. The next tropical system that gets named will be bestowed with the name Guillermo. Since tropical system names get recycled after the 6th year, the last Guillermo was in 1997. Tim did a nice job of documenting his experience with Guillermo, starting with a Guillermo Photo Gallery which is a few photos from his Aug 7, 1997 session.
Stokemon writes in to tell us the showers and drinking fountain at Campus Point have been turned off "until further notice" He's a little worried the UC is not going to bring them back on line, so if you know any info about the shower situation, write in. Stokemon notes that this, on top of the end to free parking on weekends and before 8:00/after 5:00, is a disturbing trend in UC actions.
My good Pismo surf buddy, Bill, is out of the water for at least 8 weeks when he perforated his ear drum a few weeks ago when his Stewert clocked him on the side of the head. If you have any personal stories about your road to recovery with a blown drum, or any advice on how to handle it, lemme know.
