New Report from a Flat Saturday.
Guillermo was downgraded to a Depression but Hilda is still a Tropical Storm. Almost the middle of August and not one Hurricane yet.
Jack Johnson and Ben Harper were in town for two shows at the Santa Barbara Bowl this weekend. Pope and crew got a chance to check out the show on Saturday and were simply blown away. Jack is simply just packed with talent, being a brilliant lyricist and creative guitarist, who humbly shows respect for the people he deals with, and lives a life most could learn from. Ben blew me away by his variety of styles and instruments along with his vocal range. Both of these guys are first class when it comes to the respect they have for people, and the vibe they put off. I can't say the same for the crowd. I have no idea where half of those pretty people came from. They must have bussed them all in from some farm, where the women are issued a cell phone, crop top, and the goods to fill them with, and the men are issued an attitude. Regardless, those lads put on a spectacular performance and I hope they come around again someday.
