Conditions and then some killer kold has kept the pope out the water since Nov 1st. I'd recommend lots of Zicam and Vitamin C. The last sampling date for water quality was Nov 3, so we've got about 2-3 rainy days since then and no water quality data.

The Lompoc Record had an article about Lompoc surfer Peter Mussio. The 13 year old charger/shark attack victim Bethany Hamilton has her own support website. It appears one of Oxnard's fine power plants will be taken offline soon, as well as one in Ellwood. This picture here sent in from Burke, taken by somebody a few weeks ago at Pleasure Point in Santa Cruz. The 3rd of 3 Fortman pictures is up on the right, a mid 90's shot from the Gaviota Coast.

A benefit for the Surfrider Foundation is tonight (Thursday the 13th) at SoHo. A screening of "High Life", a ski and snowboard flick at 8:00 and 10:00, with music by Slackstring to follow. No word on cost.
