These were semi-accidently posted last week but now up for real:
- Deron "needs a clear liquid epoxy that cures underwater. I believe these are sold as coatings for painting boats, pilings, and concrete while underwater." If you know of any email pope and let him know where to get them.
- Two surf movies will be at SBIFF this year:

The "What Matters Most" class at SBCC on Saturday went off splendidly reports Don. There is an article about it in today's Newspress and online here (subscrption required). I've attempted to mirror it here (shhh).
Apologies for the lack of surf reports or forecasts. Obviously we've had an incredible run in waves an although there have been no new reports up here in about a month, don't worry the pope has been out there. If you have pictures or stories be sure to send them my way.

The Rincon Classic was postponed until this weekend pending waves. From the look of things it is going to be a go. Check the SurfSB site on Friday to find out. If so it'll be Saturday the 17th and Sunday the 18th.

New Reports promised soon. Photo to the right is a NewsPress photo from Monday at Deveraux.
Since the pope has been a bit slow on reports Dan B is helping out by posting Leadbetter-centric reports over on the Leadbetter Report page. These reports will most probably be more timely and perhaps more revealing of current conditions then the rest of the reports are. The philosophy is that Leadbetter is certainly no secret spot and would be an excellent subject of daily surf conditions. Care will still be taken to not mass market the Santa Barbara surf experience.
pope's new email address is up on the left, make a note.
IV parking to surf at Coal Oil is being threatened by the counties new master plan for IV. You may have gotten a flyer such as this on your car already. The SB Surfrider Foundation has a lot of info on the matter here. They are asking for surfers to show up on Jan 28 to the next IV planning meeting. More info as it becomes available.
