Our friends at Vandenberg successfully launched a Minotaur rocket carrying a DARPA payload named of "Streak" at 7:24 last night and this was the view from the Riveria.



Our locals pro surfers are still at it. Venturan Dane Reynolds earned a wildcard into the WCT event Boost Mobile Pro, and wowed spectactors by winning his first heat with a huge air. He then went onto to lose his 2nd heat to a guy named Kelly Slater who won the contest. Meanwhile Bobby Martinez holds onto 4th overall in the WQS. The WQS is finished with high points contests until the end of October. Meanwhile SBS hero Bobby Morris is slated to surf in the Newport OP Pro this week, but results are meager.
