An add on craigslist is looking for a security guard at a Gaviota Ranch, with the added benefit of access to the "private" beaches. Could these be the Bomar guards that trail darting surfers come upon on occasion? Would it be possible to "place a man inside?" These questions and more Santa Barbara Surfing wants to know.

With buoys showing no promise, even a knee high session such as yesterday is a welcome respite in summer behind the island shadow.

Domoic Acid is along our coasts again, making Sea Lions go crazy like the one that attacked an El Cap lifeguard this weekend and pulling up on shore and dying along the coast.

A couple of vendors trying to attract visitors are the Hawaiian Gun Rack and Bordzo Surf Shop.
