Blue Edge and Curren

The April issue of Blue Edge is out and is a very respectable issue dedicated to women in surfing. Features on local surfing and other outdoor sports women follow Mary Carmel Osborne, Kim Mearig, Lori Rafferty, Amy Bigelow, Sharon Green, Sue Peterson, Shawn Alladio, and others.

Another female profiled is Leeann Curren, the daughter of our hero Tommy Curren. Leeann was visiting from her home in France to surf in Santa Barbara with Pa and Uncle during that warm spell we had in February. Pope didn't know it at the time, but the impressive pink-suited girl he got shots of near the SB Harbor was indeed yet another Curren to add to your list of surfers to keep an eye out for.
