The Santa Barbara Surfrider let's us know about the next step with the IV Parking Plan:
CA Coastal Commission staff is recommending approval of County of SB implementation of Managed Parking Program in public rights-of-way in Isla Vista this Wednesday at the Commission Hearing in Huntington Beach.
Residents annual pass $95.00 to $150.00/ year
Non residents annual pass rate comparable to UCSB up to $432.00/ year
Guest passes no more than $8.00/ day
Meters at $1.50 per hour

The Ventura Surfrider is having Gerry Lopez speak at their next meeting Wednesday November 15th.
Join Gerry Lopez for a photo journey from a lifetime of surfing. We
will take a stroll down memory lane spanning nearly a half-century,
with stops at Hawaii's north and south shores, California, Fiji and
Indonesia. Images are courtesy of great photographers like Steve
Wilkings, Art Brewer, Jeff Devine, Dana Edmonds, Don King, Eric Aeder,
Denjiro Sato, Kimiro Kondo, Kirk Devol, Jack McCoy, Tom Servais and
Ben Moon.
Celebrating the release of his new book, "Bend to Baja", Patagonia
photographer, Jeff Johnson, will also be showing slides from his
veggie-oil-fueled roadtrip with Berry, the Malloy brothers and others.
The event is free. Phone 643-8616 for more info. Refreshments and
giveaways. Refreshments provided by Aloha Steakhouse, Cafe Fiore and
Westside Cellar.
