If you haven't been tracking Jon Shafer's Rincon Surf Blog lately, Jon has been putting up a ton of original content and community information. Currently he has an interview with surfer and shaper Wayne Rich along with some good photos of Wayne and some boards he has shaped. Further along in that post is some new news about the Rincon sewer. The Rincon sewer, which once seemed like a done deal, has now evolved into a beast of an issue getting national press and local angst on both sides. Jon also appears to be trying to find a way to not anger some Rincon surfers while also being the online place to go for Rincon information. From our perspective, Jon has done a great job with his site. The Rincon Surf Blog has tons of great photos of Rincon, profiles Rincon regulars, has kept us informed of any Rincon news, and only rarely has surf-sensitive information that could be judged as not suitable for the online world. All that, and his site has only been up 8 months. Give him another 8 months and we're sure the Rincon Surf Blog will settle into a balance of information and intrigue to keep everyone stoked.
