Well at this point at least one local kid, Conner Coffin, is guaranteed a Finals appearance on Saturday. He made it to the Finals in the Explorer Boys and will be surfing in a 6 man heat with Kolohe Andino. In other divisions, Conner got bumped out of Open Juniors in Round 3, but is still alive in Open Mens, with a Round 2 heat today.

Of the other locals in Open Mens yesterday, Kokoro Tomatsuri, Andrew Bennett, and Adam Lambert all advanced to Round 2 while Trevor Gordan and Brandon Smith were eliminated.

For the ladies, Demi Boesterli was eliminated yesterday but Ojai's Sage Erikson advanced to the Quarterfinals.
