Headed down around 2pm with a super low tide...
waves were around 1-2ft w/ some consistancy..
wind was fairly calm and water temp was around 57-58..

Leadbetter Fri Jan 16th
6:30am. Tide was dropping, waves were waist high with head high sets. No one was out so we hit it. Messy, mushy, blown, cross-chop. Wind was sideshore out of the West then turned Offshore. Some cleanup sets would wipe the lineup clean and the lulls were long. Crowd grew, size dropped.

went out around noon...
tide was going low...
the size was around 2-4ft with some occasional bigger sets...
water temp was around 56-57.....
Although there was size and juice the waves still seemed to kinda mush out mid point.... a few sets were solid all the way in....
more swell on the way later in the week...

1:30pm.... tide going low...
surf was around 2-3ft , decent consistancy
slight onshore wind, ..... as the tide got lower it seemed to loose a little size....
still some fun waves out there....

2:00pm, showed up at ledbetter.....
kinda windy w/ only 2 guys out.......
Size was 1ft with a few 2+ sets.....
Seemed like there was juice comming in so mabey tommorow will be better...
tide was going high....

Went by ledbetter early and found "lake SantaBarbara".....
checked IV and other spots but found nothing better....
hopefully we will see some surf by thursday...

jan 3rd - 1pm - small and clean, slight offshore winds with a super low tide, only 2 guys out but not enough juice for fun so i headed up to IV.... small too but a little more juice than ledbetter... heavy kelp w/ strong offshore... only 4 guys out and some fun noserider waves... stayed out for about an hour...... sands was VICTORY AT SEA....
