Santa Barbara Area Surf Report

November Overview | 1995 Overview

Date/Time:
Sunday, Nov. 12th, 11:00 am
Location:
Isla Vista, CA
Weather:
Cool with early morning fog, slowly burning off w/ building onshores.
Conditions:
A little bit wrinkled.
Swell:
Flat. Pt. Conception buoy anemic at 4 ft., 9 sec period.
Comments:
Surfed small Rincon yesterday, almost thigh-high on the sets north of the indicator. Got a compliment on "turning nothing into something" by one of the guys out, that felt good, especially since I was surfing my old brown Watermans Guild board and wearing my torn neon wetsuit, first I'd ever purchased.

Woke up at 6:00 hoping for a good sign for a little surf trip north but all the buoys said "nay". Figured I'd let my roommate charge it and went back to sleep.

I'm not sure if I'll be stoked for him and his buds or pissed if they scored... turns out they got "rideable" waves somewhere in the county but I don't feel too bad about missing "rideable" stuff.
