Santa Barbara Area Surf Report

November Overview | 1995 Overview

Date/Time:
Monday, Nov. 13th, 8:00 am - 10:30 am
Location:
Santa Barbara County, CA
Weather:
Dense fog on the drive. Sunny with strong sideshore SW winds later.
Conditions:
Poor. SW wind blowing sideshore and sending chop up the coast.
Swell:
Walled, shoulder high to solidly overhead. Buoys 10 ft. 17s.
Comments:
Most of the sets were coming in and walling out to the big rock on the inside, but the occasional makeable wave came in. Lots of late drops and poundings. Chop was making it difficult. Still fun since town was so very flat due to north swell angle.

Much better than the "rideable" surf my roommate got yesterday, will he be pissed or stoked when he finds out?
