Last wave of the day, had a drop in who was on his way home, I'm mellow like I said so I let him share, he tries to cut back to let me switch places w/ him, and the nose of my board goes through the loop of his leash, wipeout and my new board has a 4" long slash on the bottom, near the nose.
Sometimes I enjoy sharing a wave, and I understand his good intentions to let me up front, but true good intentions on his part would have been not to drop in at all.
Show some courtesy out there, people. Don't drop in when the surfer coming down the line is obviously going to make it, and give him the benefit of the doubt if you're not sure.
