Weather:

Sunny and mild with moderate onshores.

Conditions:

Poor. Mushy and bumpy and a lot of sections and slow spots.

Swell:

Small background SSW combining with a WNW windswell. Knee high with waist high outside sets.

Comments:

First time out in 12 days, was jonesing bad and left work around 4 for an evening glassoff sesh. Pulled off the freeway and hit thick traffic as there was some sort of Grateful Dead deal going on... I guess the Deadheads never give up. Nice people though, and the traffic snarl kept the crowds out of the water, or was it the small waves.

Who cares anyways... I ran down the stairs and paddled up the point. Got my first left on the 9'2", which felt really strange. Started to get the hang of which end of the board was the gas pedal and which was the brake, but haven't quite latched onto the steering wheel yet. Lots of warble to the waves and sections as well, but the board just ate 'em up. Got a few rides to the stairs from the pipeline.
