Comments:
Made a 5 am drive north with Surfer Bob and basically got skunked. Got back home by 7 or 8, and headed south after hearing the interval bump up on the buoys. Now or never, because the crowd would be on it over the weekend.

Dry head on the paddle-out, Sequit now beats Zero in my book as the easiest paddle-out that I've ever had, with Silver Strand regularly being the worst.

Sets were coming through fairly regularly, 3-5 waves in each. Settled mainly for the smaller stuff breaking off the rock and let Charlie and the longboarders have the big peaks. Fast and fun shoulder high walls holding up all through the inside. Did a fully upright noseride on my 6'6" flipnose on the 4th or 5th wave, just for kicks.

Will's buddy with the green rails showed up around 4 pm, tooting his own horn, which was annoying, but he and his buds weren't competing hard for waves, which meant set waves for me as the evening drew close. Last wave went all the way in to the steep sand ledge where the windsurfers were setting up.

I think that I got enough waves to keep me stoked all weekend.
