Comments:
Late start today. Connected w/ Chuck and Chuck to head south, seeing mostly windblown surf along the way. Fairgrounds looked rideable when we checked it, but I pushed us further south where there'd be kelp.

The first order of business was a quick guide to the point, rendered totally worthless by the low tide and large surf. Tried to point out all the rocks, but none were important save the one I forgot to mention.

Mishaps aside, we soon settled into our niches, w/ two of us atop the point and one opting to hang inside a ways to hassle the windsurfers. Definitely larger waves than up north, with a lot of closeouts from rock to rock and a lot of sideshore wind blowing down the line giving the ride a strange feel.

Eventually the wind got so strong that it began to really whip up some steep little choplets, and the crowd thickened. On a tight schedule, had to go in just as it was starting to show its usual character. A fun surf. Will be out tomorrow, definitely.
