Comments:
After a promising look yesterday, headed south to the Surfers Knoll parking lot for a look at the beachbreak. It looked lined up but small. Further south, the break that we actually surfed was similar in appearance, a little offshore, perfect bowls, only smaller with less shoulder after the main peak.

Figured that the County Line breaks would be working better, and it looks like I was right. Paddled out into a surprisingly quiet and uncrowded lineup which filled in with the tide. Most of the sets were closing out early, so spent a lot of time pulling into unmakeable sections.

Around 10:00 or so it really began to line up well, with some memorable rides going well past the lifeguard tower and even with the far stairs. Best wave of the day was one of these, endless trimming for speed with the occasional snap back into the pocket. Hit the lip really well once.

The swell is forecast to fade through tomorrow.
