Santa Barbara Area Surf Report

May Overview | 1996 Overview

Date/Time:
Sunday, May 5th, 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Location:
Sequit / Secos / Leo Carrillo
Weather:
Sunny and warm, light sideshore breezes.
Conditions:
Excellent. Glassy with good shape, minimal rock rebound.
Swell:
Setty SSW groundswell, knee to shoulder high.
Comments:
First time out in a week! Didn't get much of the south swell that pulsed on and off throughout last week, was busy nursing a foot injury and actually getting some work done.

Crowd was pretty light, but it was still hard to get a wave due to the inconsistency of the sets. Finally got some good ones towards the end of the session by lining up next to the "body rock" on the inside instead of trying to hassle for the outside peaks. Landed a fun floater.
