Comments:
Checked Devereux from atop the bluffs on Del Playa this morning. Just as I walked out to look at the point, a head high set comes across the very top. It gets ridden by a couple of surfers before sectioning as Devereux often does... further inside a bunch of clueless longboarders who apparently weren't watching the indicator peaks get cleaned out by the set about 30 seconds later. Leashless longboards aloft, mass carnage, I laughed.

Took the 6'6" out into smallish and inconsistent surf. The waves were shifting wide and peaking strangely, possibly due to a little south swell influence. Much better shape than yesterday -- what a difference the tide makes!

Got snaked a few times, accidentally dropped in on someone once, wiped out trying to hit the lip of a closeout and got a fin in my arm, broke my skin but left the wetsuit unscathed.

Got a few lined up waves and a lot of wide S-turns and cutback carves in, and even some floaters over a couple of crumbling lips. As the fog pushed in, it became impossible to see the lineup, and I drifted into the cove, which was a morass of snakes and kooks and general heinous activity.
