Santa Barbara Area Surf Report

November Overview | 1996 Overview

Date/Time:
Monday, November 25th, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Location:
Rincon Point
Weather:
Warm and sunny, light onshore breezes.
Conditions:
Good, with a light wind 3" at 1 s bump.
Swell:
Weak out of the WNW. Knee to thigh high.
Comments:
Barely worth going out, paddled out to try to stay in shape for a trip to Hawaii in about three weeks. Paddled out right atop the stairs, caught some small beachbreak peaks and stayed in the surf zone to practice duckdiving.

Most of the waves off the point were small and just barely missing the kelp line and rocks on the inside. A few connectable sections and carvable peaks and cutbackable flat spots.

Something like 15 guys hassling over the poor waves, really absurd, but hey, that's Rincon!
