Far and away the worst recorded month on archive to date! Highlights were trips out of town to Denver (snowboarding) and San Antonio (got to try the Flowrider at Schlitterbahn). Lowlights were spent in Santa Barbara, getting work done and not surfing. Only got wet once this month and my waistline expanded to reflect that. What few systems in the north or south hemisphere that did set up got blown flat by overwhelming high pressure systems and the surf was rarely rideable due to the constant blowthroughs.Out of five reports -- a record low, ironic considering the record high for January of this year, got good surf one time during a super-fun session at Rincon. Waves observed averaged around knee high, and the one good day were pushing to head high.
