- Date/Time:
- Tuesday, April 1st, 3:00 pm - 3:30 pm
- Location:
- Rincon Point
- Weather:
- Cool with howling variable winds from the SW to NW.
- Conditions:
- Fair, side-offshore conditions mainly on the beachbreak. Mixed-up, windswelly, and weak on the point.
- Swell:
- Strong long-fetch windswell from gales up the coast. Waist high to head high beachbreak closeouts.
- Comments:
- Unmakeable closeout sections with backed-off shoulders on the beach... not enough sandbar out there to give it any rideable shape. The point looked to be even more of a struggle, and with the cool breezes I was content just to watch the wind shift around, alternating between blowing the surf out and fanning the peaks back.
Did you surf this weekend? If so, then file a report for World Surf Day '97! I'm still collecting reports from around the world, a total of about 50 so far.
