This month started off with four days' worth of Mysto Soup, a surf trip full of both stoke and anguish. We got treated shortly thereafter to an all-time hurricane swell and a good southern hemi. In between, it was summer flatness.Highlight of the month was a fun session at Secos on the tail end of Guillermo's swell, and again later that month at Secos, picking off wave after wave on the outer lineups. The flat spells in between were the lowlights, it was hard to bum out on much of anything when actually in the water. We had a fun time dodging a mass invasion of foam boarders, a flotilla of Jr. Lifeguards keeping the inside lineup thick and the outside lineup free for us to hit hard.
Out of seven reports, got good surf five times -- a good average but an overall poor month for total number of good surf days. Took the longboard out three times, including one fun session at C Street, and once at the end of the month during which I must have dinged my board -- did not notice it until two months later.
