June started off pretty well with a decent southern hemi that actually landed in late May coupled with a one to two week spell of unseasonably warm, trunkable water all along the Southern California coast, even in places where it never gets trunkable. All in all the month was inconsistent, better than the previous two and warmer than last year albeit with not as good surf.Highlight of the month was an unseasonal swell at Rincon that had everyone stoked and the aforementioned trunkable session on a weekend day that felt like a weekday.
Definite low-light was a bee sting at the water's edge at Rincon. It wasn't very fun having my wife gone for two weeks, either, but it didn't seem to affect my surfing or the waves too much. In fact, we seemed to have better surf while she was gone. Hm...
Out of ten reports, got good surf four times. Surfed twice on my longboard. The average wave height was in the chest high range.
