| Comments: |
More atypical summer surf than the day before
with the south showing a strong enough influence to throw some
fun, bowly lefts at Backsides as well as in the rivermouth. Peaky
drops followed by strong walls that eventually declined in quality
as the morning wore on.
A pod of dolphins cruised the lineup mid-session, surfing the shoulders of a set of waves and jumping within scant feet of a few surfers trying to scramble for cover. Close enough to see the fine details of their coloration (more marbled than they appear from a distance) and hear their breathing. Looking back at this month so far, I've surfed Rincon more than everywhere else combined. How bizarre for June! |
