- Date/Time:
- Saturday, March 22nd, 11:30 am - 1:30 pm
- Location:
- North County
- Weather:
- Mild to cool, overcast and foggy, light NNWerly breezes.
- Conditions:
- Clean surface in most places, weird shape from swell combo.
- Swell:
- Shifty swells from multiple sources, head high to well overhead drops.
- Comments:
- Paddled out completely alone through a choppy and lumpy rip-channel. The lineup was shifty with waves coming from a variety of directions, bowling here and mushing there. Steep drops to be found in the right place, followed by a slack spot and another bowl beyond. Got plenty of waves and a drilling all the way to the inside once; rather than fight it I let it take me in and walked back to the rip-out.
Found an intact 3" diameter conch shell on the beach along with a half of a small bivalve with interesting blue and gold pearly patterns on its interior (go Bruins!).
