Southern hemisphere season started late this month, tailing into the last few sputters of a poor winter season. It couldn't have gotten here soon enough.Water temperatures hit an all-time high during the last week of the month, pushing me into my trunks. Before that the water was seasonal, with some cooling from the occasional spring-like blow-outs but not nearly as frigid as it gets in April.
Highlight of the month was an insanely good wave at Rincon, a classic knee-tingler half the length of the point from the top of the indicator to the top of the cove, coupled with some fun interactions with the marine life.
Out of eight reports, got good surf two or three times. Surfed three times on my longboard. The average wave height was in the waist high range.
