Delayed the go-out today for a better tide and a chance
to surf with Will. Found him down in the cove after getting
some solid rides in the rivermouth and indicator sections,
including one thick barrel that I saw coming and delayed
my setup for a bit too long, turning up into it after the
lip was already throwing and catching it right in the face.
The cove was damn crowded with lots of drop-ins going on; I did manage to get a few waves but they were all little insiders, never seemed to be in the right position on my 6'6" to get the outside sets. Saw Robert and Will each get one good one apiece mostly to themselves. Best wishes for a safe and stokin' New Year! Speaking of the New Year, that means it's time to write up your best surfs of the year and send them in. |
