This month was classic and nearly all-time, with three straight weeks of solid head high surf and several days of double-overhead waves that lit up some of the rare town spots. The west swells began rolling in. Winter arrives at last!Highlights of the month were many, and it's hard to pick out single sessions amongst all the stoke. Got one of the longest waves of my life early on, perhaps the last good wave my old 6'6" will surf, since I took out the brand new one this month as well. Several days of solid double overhead surf were had, on the 20th and 27th at Rincon and during a first-time session at Hammond's Reef on the biggest swell since Big Wednesday.
The only low points would be the nearly week-long flat spell at the month's opening, during which the surf was depressingly flat, as well as a pretty lame between-swell session at Signals.
Out of sixteen reports, got good surf twelve times. Rode the longboard only once, and the semi-gun three times, although I could have used it more.
