Long bouts of summer doldrums this month, with only one decent swell and a lot of sub-par days below my defined buoy threshold (3 ft at 14 s) early in the month, with a hellish flat spell during the second half of the month.Highlights of the month were hitting the beach with my brother, who turned out to be more hardcore than expected on the dawn patrols -- he doesn't even surf! Also had one good swell roll in during the middle of the month, lasted for two days.
Out of a mere five reports, got good surf twice -- those two days mentioned above. Rode twice on the longboard, twice on the 6'6", and once not at all -- that makes five. Average wave height was around chest high.
