March came through with some good swells and classic conditions; a nice contrapuntal month to the soggyness of February. Didn't surf all that many times but some of the sessions I got were all-timers.The beaches reasserted themselves this month, with the big beach at the cove at Rincon holding on but showing signs of erosion and transport downcoast.
Highlight of the month was the cleanest, best Rincon surf of the winter and one of the best ever, a day of perfect hollow conditions with subtropical clouds over the islands and a sublime sunset. Got lots of good Rincon this month, in fact, with the rains mellowing out, the southeast piss winds holding off, and the crowds pretty minimal.
Out of eleven reports, got good surf six times. Didn't ride the longboard or the semi-gun at all. Average wave height was in the head high range.
