| Comments: |
Got some overhyped reports calling it 1.5x overhead in the
cove and scrambled along with SurferBob after blowing off
the AM session due to lackluster 4am buoy reports. Wasn't
as good as I heard but better than sitting in the lab.
Got a few big peaks, a fat barrel just past the rivermouth and lots of late drops. Played around with one set wave by mashing the lip and freefalling down to the trough as the windswell bowled it up, but my confidence boost was soon taken away as I bogged on some lump around the next turn and ate it badly. Best waves were at the end in the cove when things got dark and quite a bit more difficult. Missed it on a few drops and then connected one well into the cove, chasing the full moonlight shining on the shoulder. Didn't get to see Robert surf many waves except for one of the outside Indicator set waves that he handled well on Mr. Scott, the strange wide-nosed board that I call schizophrenic but he sure likes. He mentioned getting "heinously dropped in on" for his first wave of the day. Welcome back to Rincon, Robert! hahaha |
