Another hoped-for Rocktober turned lackluster. Took a two-week trip in the middle of the month and ran the coast from San Francisco to Morro Bay in hopes of getting some classic "Indian summer" surf. The hoped-for early fall swells and clean conditions didn't materialize.On the one hand, it was a bit disappointing, but on the other hand I didn't feel like I missed anything here. In town for the last swell of the summer season and the opening of the winter season.
Out of five reports, got good surf two or three times. Rode the longboard once. Average wave height was around chest high.
