The disappointing winter season trudged on into February with very little to speak of in terms of decent surf.Highlight. A double-barrel in the cove at Rincon capped one of the few good sessions of the month.
Lowlights. Sickness held me down for the first half of the month, with a nasty week-long cold being backed up by a two-week long bout with a strep infection and resultant antibiotics. Shortly after that we radically miscued on some big buoys and got skunked with big-wave boards in hand.
Out of eight reports, got good surf three times, each time was in the cove at Rincon. Average wave height was in the shoulder to head high range. Rode the longboard once and the semi-gun not at all.
