Fortunately this month didn't turn out to be the dog days of summer. Got a welcome bounce-back on the swell-o-meter from the southern hemisphere, and everything was all right again. Best month for surf since May.

Highlights: Things kicked in right at the start of the month with the summer's biggest swell, said swell ending with my best wave of the summer. Also had a great session of long waves at Leo Carrillo a couple weeks later.

No lowlights for the month, except again for the low session count, only 6. Got good surf all 6 times, another 100% (6 for 6) rating. Sets averaged to well overhead, and I only rode my 6'6"s, both the roundtail and the squaretail.
