Comments:   First time back since March, so it felt great just to take that walk down to the cove again. Paddled out with no leash on my 9'6" spoon from the bottom of the cove and squinted against the glare from the low-angled midday sun as a small chest high set rolled all the way through the cove. Waves stayed small all day but the shape was near-perfect, peeling off in short, easily makeable sections, nearly every wave going to the rusted out vertical steel piles by the old fire pit.

Of course, I got out of the water too early. As I walked in and reached the logpile by the rusting steel spikes, I turned around for one last look and saw an 8-wave set of shoulder high waves run through to the freeway.
