Late summer slowdown. Only a couple of swells this month, including one too-steep hurricane swell that I misjudged. Overall a weak month for surf, but as it turns out one of the better months of the year 2000 summer season.

Out of four reports, got good surf only once. Rode the longboard one time, in trunks even, with the rest of my surfing in a wetsuit on my shortboards.
