Santa Barbara Area Surf Report

Date/Time:   Friday, September 15th, 7:00 am - 10:00 am

Location:   Secos / Arroyo Sequit / Leo Carrillo

Weather:   Patches of dense fog and small openings of sunlight. Building westerly breezes into midmorning.

Conditions:   Good, no chop but a bit of leftover ripple from Lane.

Swell:   New and apparently building 2-3 ft at 17 s SSW southern hemi groundswell.

Surf:   Chest to shoulder high with head high sets.

Comments:   A nice mellow session with only a couple people out for an hour or so. Inconsistent but being the only one sitting on the outside made it tolerable and a few of the outside sets to overhead were quite fun. Swell seemed to fill in, the last wave I got was the best, solid overhead and rippable to the stairs. Punching the button for the shower triggered the inevitable 10-wave set as I rinsed off, of course. Hoping for more, better surf tomorrow.
