Comments:   Another strange quest for waves this morning. Originally was going to try to get out super early before the tide got too high, but I slept in till 6:00. Checked out Hammonds, decided tide was too high and kept going (wish i hadn't). Checked out Rincon and it was my first verification the swell had arrived. It looked big and crowded. For some reason I wasn't in the mood for crowds so i figured i'd head up north and have smaller waves yet it'd be less folks. I was glad I did, the swell was big enough to show up and the waves were fast with great shape. Saw one of the best barrells I've ever seen, some yahoo buried a few feet deep not quiet standing straight up but the closest i had seen to a stand up. It was all great until the curtain smacked him in the head and he cartwheeled off to the rocks.

It took work to NOT get in the barrell, but i managed to never get covered up. A few kook moves at first that have been my hallmark in bigger waves, but the session got better and better as I kinda got things wired, but not wired enough to pull in. I suppose that was just a glimar of things to come, as he tide drops it should get better and more crowded. Hopefully waves will stay for awhile.
