Comments:   I hadn't been out in quite awhile due to being out of town, working on houses, and the rain that flushed everything from the last 18 months into the ocean. In reality those are just excuses and I didn't come out until it was a sunny gorgeous day. The sun helped out with the chilly water. The air had the warm yet crisp fall feel and smell to it. Reminds me of countless fall offshore mornings growing up, yet it wasn't offshore. The storm that ran from Thursday-Saturday and brought us 3 inches of rain had built up some of the sand bars, but apparently not enough since the sets would all close-out. The better picks ended up being the smaller waves in between the sets. The water was still murky and today my nose is running. I'm trying not to draw a correlation.

On a trip to San Francisco this weekend we stood on the cliff above was is being told to me was Deadman's. Hard to estimate wave size when you are directly above it, but i'd generally say they would fall under the "big" category. That place would be strange to surf. Surfing next to a 100+ jagged cliff on one side and the swiftly moving San Francisco Bay on your other side. Hats off to those chargers.
