| Comments: | A post thanksgiving session with the Converse family in what was one of the warmer days I've had at Pismo. Borrowed Bill's longboard and was trying to show Mike how to ride the Doyle. He managed to get up on a half dozen without instruction. The rides were a bit like this: try to get in early, make a bottom turn, head down the line until it walls, try to kick out. With maybe 2 or 3 exceptions every wave was like that since at times the whole beach would break as one wave. Some ripsters were taking advantage of the hollowness on the south side of the pier. | ||
