Comments:   Happy New Years. Today I was a longboarder in a sea of shortboarders. It was our fantastic trio again, on longboards, surfing 3 trees in a sea of shredders. Typically it's only us and a few others but the New Years Swell dragged everyone out of the woodwork. Which is fine, but there some serious stink eye out there.

The waves here were the fastest and greatest shape I've ever seen along this coast. The size was not gigantic, it was a perfect little head high day of super fast sections and some barrells. Catching them was tough with the crowds, but I got enough to turn my arms into noodles.

Afterwards some Tortilla Chips, Salsa and Hummus was Nirvana.
