Comments:   Went out at the same place as yesterday and about the same time. The swell had dropped a little but instead of being empty to nearly-empty it was the most crowded I had seen it all winter. Yesterday when I was all alone I was wishing for a guy or two to join me for the safety in number factor, and today I had my wish. My performance today was totally lackluster. Caught a couple of the big bombs and just got crushed. Rag-dolled all over the bottom. I was more successfull on the chest to head waves that had a higher probablility of making it. A couple of little head dips and some lips to hit, but besides that some big air drops.

A ton of little ripsters out there. Saw a great left barrell by some kid half my size who was calm in the pocket and people just in general were charging. The would take off on a wave that had no chance of shaping up and they'd disappear. The wave would crash and whitewash would fly 10' in the air and then a few seconds later a little head would poke up thru the wash with a big grin. Sick. I got rag-dolled one to many times yesterday to take off on waves that didn't have more then a 50/50 chance of not doing a beachwide closeout.
