| Comments: | Amazing how strong ones arms are after being out of the water for a few days. Took a bit of break and I was paddeling like there was no tommorrow. A far cry from the way my arms felt after a week straight of awesome sessions. A short lunchtime longboarding session at Coal Oil Point. It was actually big and fast enough to shortboard too out there. Caught a bunch of fun waist high ones and an occaisional chest high one. They'd suck up a bit on certian sections as if they were going to pitch but then Deveraux kept itself in check and sputtered along. Super sunny conditions and really clear water. Many fish and some cool tidepools. The way we've been having swells has really taken away a lot of sand in a short time. The rock bottom is really starting to show up. So far the sand hasn't uncovered the giant truck tire that appears after really big storms. Waves were holding up a bit longer then anticipated causing a bit of frustration, but the set waves were in general ready to break without hestiation. There was some nice style out there. One longboarder with a yellow board with blue rails had a nice fade, cutback and walk. Style. A couple of shortboarders were really making the most of the juicier ones out there too, even a few slide-floaters. Yes, at deveraux | ||
