Comments:
Another Saturday morning surfing along the PCH with Unkle and Steve. To sound like a broken record for this summer, we showed up, it looked flat, we went anyway, it was flat but we had a good time. We paddled out into what seemed like 6" waves breaking really close to the inside but caught a few right off the bat. Just like last saturday they were small but fast and breaking in really shallow water. We saw some dolphins, had some wipeouts, and soaked in the water and the fog.
Afterawhile some surf kayaker paddled up the coast and sat on top of us. I just don't understand. We walked up past the main peak to sit by ourselves in lesser waves and someone still comes up, doesn't say hi, and just sits on top of me. There were waves to the right and to the left, but this big belly guy wants to sit on top of me. No offense to surf kayakers, but this keeps happening to us, and I don't know why. It's not like we were making the peak look that good. Soon more of his surf kayaker buddies showed up and he felt even more confident to sit outside of us and take the best waves. Weird.
We ended up paddling down the coast a little ways and catching some knee high shorebreak in. It was so fun we kept paddling out and catching more knee high shorebreak in. Finally on what was to really be out last one in, Steve managed to somehow get completed creamed into the sand and while he was grabbing his leash/board to prevent it from hitting some onlooker managed to scrape his arm up mighty nice. At least there was something exciting that happened to us today.
