June 2003 Overview
The Reports
June. June Gloom was right on time in the start of the month. It was foggy and drizzly and it seemed like it would never end. On top of this, it was even breezy and junky. At first, SB didn't see many waves, so it was to the North or to the South or try to get some windswell. Finally June 8-10 saw a bit of south swell showing up if you drove to south exposed beaches. It wasn't an epic swell, but there were waves. June 15-19 saw a series of fun evenings catching small but fun surf up in Goleta. Towards the end of the month is started to flatten out again but the sun came out.

June saw two Tropical Storms form, neither which brought us waves. Blanca and Carlos were SE of Baja and never made it to Hurricane status or past the Baja shadow.

A healthy 16 sessions, most of which was shortboarding. Surfline's June Report isn't up as of posting, but will be in about 3 weeks.
