Comments:
After a glassy and nice sized session yesterday I try to repeat the routine today. However, when I show up it's blowing onshore and looking like junk. The water was crowded but it was thinning, everyone was getting out since it was getting sucky. I had to go out and so I did, and by the time I was settled there was only half a dozen folk out there. The board worked fine but there is something about surfing in blown out conditions in short period waves. You just flounder all over. Made a few nice waves, a couple good turns but the rule of the day was taking off in a fury of spray and getting clocked by a closing out section. But it was fun. Had one real long right that ended up a 1 foot wave in 1 foot of water and tried to get into the barrell. Also a couple of soulfull lefts, was having trouble hitting the lip so just went straight.
