Comments:   Decided for a lunch time session today, although yesterday's results showed that the afternoon session was much better, possibly from the higher tide. It was sunny and warm and the waves didn't look too great, but it was worth heading out. A few familiar faces around figuring if they were going to go out or not. Some didn't, I did. Water is starting to warm up a bit after the numbing stuff we were seeing about a week ago. I didn't wear booties last night but decided to today. For me, the water is on the edge of booties usuage. My saturday session down south was fine without booties but evening glass off up north last night left my feet numb and mistakes aplently from lack of feeling. That said I wish I didn't wear them today. I'm just too clumsy with booties on.

The session wasn't bad. Started it with some short and fast lefts that were pitching out. I was denied getting in them and instead would get tumbled, but it was a rush. The sets, when they came, had some workable size but not much in the way of workable shape. A typical ride would involve a nice drop, a few turns and then getting crunched in some shallow water. Must of been the sandbars, but I was ending up in real shallow water.

There was a really low sound about every 30 seconds coming from somewhere. It sounded like a foghorn but it was sunny. I can only assume it was coming from some sort of oil facility from somewhere along the coast.
